I believe in weaving stories through my pictures and hence shooting heritage architecture is something that is quite close to my heart. Old buildings are ripe with intricate details. They are like stories waiting to be told; stories from a time long gone by. A lot of heritage buildings have had structural modifications made over time and that shows in the evolution of the architecture. I like to capture this very story that a building tries to tell and take it to the world. Before I start taking pictures, I soak up the atmosphere, and get the emotion of the place. And if through my pictures, I can take people through the same emotion and make people aware of our heritage, then why not? We all love living a moment long after it has passed. When I click heritage buildings, my focus is to capture history on camera and preserve it for future generations.
